My 1st time bringing En Yu out by myself...

Last nite, I met up with thanadet, mona, dave & coreen who wanted to see En Yu :) And it was also the very 1st time that i brought En Yu out all by myself! Having to bring a 3 month old out on a stroller and taking a cab is not at all easy, unless the cab driver is nice enough to help u fold and keep the stroller while u hold your baby. Another challenge is to maneuver your stroller while getting up and down on an escalator in the shopping mall! Anyway, so far ... so good lah... at least i never drop my baby lor^^

En Yu is 3 months old!

How time flies~~~~~~~ En Yu is already 3 months old! And he is now back in Singapore to meet his grandparents for the very first time. Mom and Dad are really enjoying hugging their grandson.... tat gives me lots of free time, cos' other than feeding En Yu and changing his diapers, i got my parents to entertain En Yu for the rest of the time...kekeke...He loves it when u play with him...see, he's so happy!

Hokkaido~Tokyo trip (27 Feb ~ 5 Mar)

This is my first trip since i delivered En Yu...a trip to reward myself and relax~~~ but i miss my baby lor!^^

Upon arrival at Sapporo Shin Chitose airport, we took the free airport shuttle to Rera outlet mall (located nearby the airport) for SHOPPING!

The outcome: just one NIKE bag and NIKE knee length jacket. Good self-control huh?

No lah~ actually we need to leave the outlet mall and board the JR to Otaru.
Sigh... hasn't even shop enuf! ><
(but see! it was SNOWING~~~~woo hoo!)

My snack while on board the JR....... though it says made from 北海道牛奶... i did not buy it in Hokkaido, i brought it all the way from Taiwan 7-11...haha ^^ Hubby trying to say i'm crazy lor...look at his gesture ...

Our Sushi dinner set @ Otaru...comes with king crab miso soup... not bad!
Finally a good decent meal after a whole day of travelling...

On the next day, we wanted to catch the earliest JR @ 8:07am to Niseko Annupuri ski resort so we can start to ski/snowboard asap! Just can't wait....

But 2 blur sotongs almost missed the JR train...not that we did not set our alarm, just that we forgot to tune our time to Japan time ><

(side-track a bit... think we can make it as part-time model for spectacles??)

Finally reached Niseko station...waiting to be picked up by the owner of Milky House.

Milky House ~ this is where we stayed..very country-inn style.

Me having breakfast and it was snowing outside!
Feels damn good lor to look out of the full height window and enjoy the falling snow while having breakfast at the same time....
~~~just like dreaming~~~
Overlooking this house from our dining area...isn't it nice to stay in?
We decided to go to Annupuri ski resort this time cos' we already went to Hirafu 2 years back... Annupuri is pretty nice for beginners like me! Me took up a 2 hr private ski lesson and can now ski without falling!
Not forgetting to grab this Royce chocolate and Yubari melon jello from the airport before leaving Hokkaido!
~~~~~~~~~~

Left Hokkaido for Tokyo...hubby went out to work and i was all alone in the hotel. But guess wat? There is a washing machine in the room! Not bad huh!

So, I decided to be a good housewife and do all the laundry..hehe!

Tada~~~ all done! See, I can be a good housewife too ^^

Decided to go shopping in Tokyo after the laundry was done.

And the rewards.... a Burberry Blue label bag & a Burberry Black label wallet~~~ only available in Japan, so of course must buy lah! Yah, i'm a 敗家女~~~ But these are all i bought lor, cos' all else in Tokyo are pretty expensive, can see but cannot buy ><

Took this opportunity to meet up with Renin , who has been working in Tokyo for sometime now, for dinner.

At other times (besides loitering in Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku), when i'm bored, this is what i do in my hotel room: practicing snapping my own pics ....

To me, Tokyo is just another city similar to Taipei, but things are more costly, there are more people and subways are more complex...
Skiiing in Hokkaido is still better :)

恩宇 is 2 months old!

Feb 14, Valentines Day, is also when our baby 恩宇 turns 2 months old!
Went for his 2nd month check-up today, below are his current statistics:

Weight: 5.4 kg (up 1.4 kg)
Head circumference: 38cm (up 2 cm)
Height: 55cm (up 2.5cm)

He did grow quite a little since last month... so glad :D
Also, he had his vaccination today and he's such a brave little one cos' he never cried ^^
"北鼻, 你好棒哦~~~" ... so proud, hee!

And he is now cooing alot, trying to communicate wif us through his 'oohs' & 'ahs'... which i enjoyed very very much~ babies voices are simply mesmerizing, so sweeeeeet!
It just makes me forget all the tiredness & frustrations for tat moment!

OOPS! His face seems to be getting wider now, his hair still as little (so unlike his parents) and his double eyelids are gone!

A very different CNY ...

CNY in 2008 ~ is a very different CNY for me...

1. I spent my CNY in Taipei, no longer in Singapore wif my own family (have to use webcam and skype wif them).
2. It is a Winter COLD CNY in Taipei (unlike the Summer HOT Singapore).
3. I am Married (sigh... no longer eligible to collect ang pows )
4. Unlike Singapore, there is no CNY cookies here...sob!!! (in fact, i find tat there is more festive mood in Singapore)
5. No new year visiting too (which is good).
6. People can celebrate CNY wif firecrackers & fireworks here (great!)
7. I went to Hotspring on 初一 and went 漁港 for seafood dinner (this is never possible in Singapore).
8. Last but not least, I have a BABY 恩宇 :)

My first CNY away from home

After 32 years of my life, this year will be the first time tat i'll be away for CNY... meaning no longer having my CNY in 娘家 . I can't even go back on 初二 cos' i'm in far away land call Taiwan. Air tix are damn ex during CNY lor >< ...sob :( Miss my family, and miss the food so so so much. All the new year goodies tat i eat until damn sick every year, believe me, i'm missing it now... SIGH... and can only keep in touch wif my dad, mom, sis & tobie(my cat) via skype & webcam. Anyway, CNY in Taiwan will be wet & cold (somewhere around 10 degrees?). Well, something different, and i shall cuddle my little one to keep warm...^^ :D

For Strawberry lovers~

< 草莓大福 >

Woo hoo~~~ my fav strawberries are in season now! Happened to come across this 草莓大福 while surfing the net yesterday afternoon and was drooling over it.... never really thought i will have a chance to taste it till last nite when hubby went grocery shopping @ Mitsukoshi and saw it for sale~~~ and yes, he bought it.

Let me do a more detailed description of this 草莓大福, aka "Strawberry Muah Chee". The outermost layer which is white and snowy is the Muah chee ( 粉'Q', means very chewy), followed by a layer of red bean and right in the middle, of cos, is the famous strawberry(大湖草莓)! While i was slicing it in order to take this pic, i can smell the fruity fragrance of the strawberry ~ i'm not exaggerating hor...

Just had one, YAH...It was Muahchee-licious............one bite into it, so SHIOK!!! :P
