隨便玩之旅

Have u ever wanted to go somewhere but don't know where to go? Well, it happened to us. It was Taiwan's National Day over the last weekend and we wanted to make a trip somewhere to spend the holiday but can u believe it, we only decided our destination after meeting up on the day itself when we were to set off!

And per norm, before we make our retreat into the beautiful mountains, we will first stock up on groceries .......

This basket is smaller than our usual ones, BB En Yu fits in perfecto!

Uncle Yue introducing BB En Yu to his very first lesson on alcohols~~~

BB En Yu obviously more interested in this bigger bottle. See, he refused to let go. Another uncle offering cigarettes.....**faint**

Wah... got durians leh!

Let's see.... How much per kg??

On our way..... weather is foggy.....

This place is call 若茵農場 aka 'Roll-in Farm' in english (the taiwanese have once again demonstrated their creativity in giving english names).

Can't remember what happened but can u spot BB En Yu?

It was a bit cold, so..... Note: we are at cloud level. Boss of the farm kept highlighting.

Uncle Yue wants to learn how to feed a baby....

But he soon gave up (FAIL). Hand BB En Yu back to hubby. But fyi, he too failed.

BB En Yu exploring on fours....

Hubby don't know reading what... even doggie is bored..

Mommy snacking and accidentally dropped one on BB En Yu's head... no, i never give him any of my snacks ok.

the rest...... in daze....

The next morning was beautiful.......and good weather too. Too bad, no 雲海。

Having our breakkie.

Nice ?

another one :)

Once again presenting.... the Tai-tais.

We decided to take a walk in the bamboo forest.

Getting tired, we decided to hang outside our Freelander to save us from the walking.

And then, we came to the beach.

The wind is so so strong........... u can actually see the sand flying.... and my legs hurt with all the sand hitting on them.

The wind is really strong....... our hairs all messy><

Enuf of the sand, sea and wind, home we went.

Typhoon again

The biggest typhoon of the year has hit Taiwan today, luckily! i'm in Singapore. Been following their news and looking at the disasters created, i thank GOD that i am safe and sound back in Singapore. In fact, while many Taiwanese are braving the typhoon, we are comfortably enjoying the first ever F1 night race in our very own homeland. I remembered the day when i was supposed to come back to Singapore was also hit by typhoon and thus, i came back one day later. There has been so many typhoons, ridiculously@ 1 per week in the month of Sep!
Whatever.... now that my flight back to Taipei is postponed, i get to stay here for one more day. Happy ..............^o^

Good-bye my hello kitty....

It's getting old and dirty already...

This melon-headed hello kitty is a limited edition from Hokkaido, which i bought during my first trip there more than 2 yrs ago. I so love their yubari melon! Thus, explains why i chose this hello kitty out of the rest...

And surprisingly coincidental, Sis, without knowing that i am removing this hello kitty from my sony ericsson, made me a new h/p charm. Thanks!!!
Btw, is that angel adora?..... ^o^

What I made for lunch today

Carbonara for me &
Fish porridge with spinach for BB En Yu.

BB En Yu getting bored again....and started pulling out his socks. See, he even threw them on the floor! @#$%&*

There's just so much to talk about...from wedding preps, to marriage life, having babies, our man & mother-in-laws ... etc etc etc....^^

We chatted the night away over 2 glasses of.........nope, not beer......but Lattes -_-

All about SLEEPING

BB En Yu is one little fella who has always wanted me to rock or pat him to sleep. But @ 9 months already, I am determined to let him try to fall asleep on his own. For the last few nights, I continued with the routine of bathing him, giving him his milk, telling him good nite and then i off the lights and go out of the room. But being curious, i went to peep on him once every while to see how's he is doing. Initially, he whined alot, so i went in to pat him a little to make him feel better and put him back on his bed. The next few times, he whined a little and i ignored him. And then, slowly, he got used to being alone and sleepiness kicks in until he fell asleep on his own! He did the same this afternoon! I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will be able to continue to fall asleep on his own.

BB En Yu's growing food list...

I find that preparing and feeding food to a baby is one challenging task.

Firstly, u must know what the baby can or cannot eat at his age. I learnt that egg white has to wait after he's 1 yr old.

Secondly, u need to make sure the food is swallow-able for the baby - that means u must either puree them or chopped them up into tiny miny pieces.

Thirdly, u must have LOTS and LOTS of patience when feeding them. Sometimes, it's not that they are not interested in the food, but just that they are more interested in playing. NEVER force them to eat. Try another time. (i confess: i almost flared up several times......)

Currently @ 9 months, BB En Yu has proudly conquered the following food items, other than his staple - formula milk:

rice cereal
bread
biscuits
fish porridge
pork porridge
chicken porridge
silverfish(or ikan bilis) porridge
carrots
pumpkin
spinach
tofu
potato
banana
papaya
pear
grapes
watermelon
.
.
.
and the list is still growing.

I think it's not too bad already huh? And there's a sense of achievement when he finishes up the food i prepared:)
