My first ever digital scrapblog

My mood for scrapblogging came today... (inspired by rachel). Thanks gal for introducing this to me, it's so much fun ya! Due to the limited creative juices in me, i only managed to come up with this simple one ^^

Blurrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not sure if it's due to hormone changes during my pregnancy, but i think i've become quite blur lately. Last weekend, we decided to watch the dvd series Prison Break (season 1). There are 6 discs altogether, but never did i realize that i've played disc 5 by mistake (instead of disc 1). Oh oh~~~I'm quite sure i took 'disc 1' before i played it, u know... Anyway, we started watching disc 5 then, and the next day, when hubby wanted to continue watching the 2nd disc, only then he realized that i've played the wrong disc the night before!^^

Oops... I asked him to forgive me cos' he thinks i'm too extreme & since he kept on nagging, I told him: "i know u r busy mah, so.... u can skip the first 4 discs and start with disc 5 straight away, and cos' u r soooooooooo smart, u can still manage to understand what the whole show is about what!" ;)) I think he has given up, but for me, i will find time to watch the first 4 discs :)

hAppY HaLLoWeEn!

My favourites

壹周刊 & 波霸奶茶 have been my faithful companions in Taiwan. Though i've cut down alot on tea ever since my pregnancy, but once a while, i do still give in to my craving for it ~ And ... i'm also more updated on their 八卦新聞 than most taiwanese frenz here ... wahahaha~ were they impressed with me ^^ ^:)^

My checkup at 31st week

Went to my gynae last nite for regular check-up. So relieved when he told me that little joe is finally in head down position! He also showed us little joe's little bird bird and ball ball ~ Ooooh...;;) We had a glimpse of his face too ^o^ and saw his little hands clenching.

Little joe has grown from 1033g at 27th weeks to 1757g now, and all my weight gain during this period actually went to him! I have gained none myself...kekeke ;)

Exactly 2 more months to my EDD! Tick-tock... tick-tock... counting down~~~

色.戒 > Uncensored

One good thing about Taiwan is they do not censored films here. Woo hoo~~~~

We went to the movie theater today to watch 色.戒, as hubby said he wanted to show his support to fellow taiwanese director Ang Lee. But i bet the real motive is to watch the much talkabout & heardabout 'daring' acts of Tony Leung and Tang Wei...^^ Well, after watching, i must agree that it is really 'eye-opening' & i must salute them (especially Tony Leung) for the 'extent' that they went to in their acting (u know what i'm referring to).

Heard from Pooi Lin that in Singapore, the movie was fully censored?

Hmmm, what a pity~~~ u missed out alot :P

My 'Simple' life

Hmmm...nothing to blog about lately. I've been staying home most of the time for the past week, except when i need to buy something or when it's time to bring our rubbish to the collection point for the rubbish truck that comes at 8 pm everyday (except Wed & Sun). You will see many people gathering there waiting for the truck to come (which will blast music when it arrives). Sounds very backward, right? And you can't just dump all rubbish together in one bag, u need to separate them according to categories: left over food & kitchen waste/recyclable things like plastic & paper/other general rubbish. (Singaporeans are so lucky...)

Last weekend, typhoon Krosa visited Taiwan and wreck havoc, leaving the island in a big mess. It was a rather strong typhoon, and frankly speaking i was scared, even though i'm indoors (and hubby's not around). The wind howled very loudly, the rain was pouring heavily, our glass door and metal gate were shaking badly and even the rain shelter in front of our house came crashing down, unable to withstand Krosa's power. And then, there was power failure. Once she left, it was time to clean up the mess... (Again, aren't Singaporeans lucky?)

People asked me what I do everyday, now that i'm pregnant and not working... well, i think my greatest accomplishment is learning cooking from my MIL. She's trying to pass down her cooking skills to me so that i can take over next time and cook for hubby. I've also attended my first off-site class where she brought me to the market and i've got to remember which stalls she patronizes for buying fish, chicken, pork, veges, fruits, etc...so that next time i know where to buy what. Stressed "'.........

Ever since typhoon Krosa left, the weather has been turning cool...finally it feels like autumn~ but soon winter will come, when I will deliver little joe. Not sure how it will be like and if this is good, delivering in such a cold weather...but at least, i'm glad i'm not delivering during the typhoon season.

Now at my 3oth week, i can really feel little joe squirming alot inside my tummy. The movements are sort of different now compared to the earlier stages of pregnancy, maybe because of the limited space he can now moved in. It feels like his hands or maybe his knees, i'm not very sure about that. Sometimes, we can see one side of the tummy bulging out very obviously and we were thinking that must be his head but our friend told us that is actually his bum... hee! hubby said, next time must remember to whack his bum! ^^

2 more months to my due date. I'm starting to get nervous already. Pretty soon i need to start shopping for little joe & myself before my tummy gets too big that I won't be able to move that easily (now i'm still doing pretty fine though). All along I'm pretty determined that I will deliver my little joe via natural birth method even though i'm very scared of the process that I need to go through, and during my conversations with some gal friends lately, they encouraged me to go through c-section...hmmm...but i still think natural is the way to go, yah?

Hubby's been away on biz trip for a week now, i'm looking forward to his return this weekend...

Name for my little joe..?

It's now almost 2.5 months away from the arrival of our little joe and yet we have not come up with a name for him. We have been exploring, trying to think of a meaningful name for him that's associated with mountains because it was at the Peak of Mount. Jade where his daddy proposed to his mummy :p So, one day over lunch, we were discussing this again and jokingly, his daddy said " Why not just call him 陳高山, hahahaha....?" I gave him that awful look, even though i knew he's just joking about it. I mean, little joe will hate us when he start to learn about his own name when he grow up next time, right? However, even though this name is just meant as a joke, our friends are already starting to call him 陳高山 every now and then, and even gave him an english name call 'Mountain Chen'... and somehow we are getting used to it now the more we call him 陳高山...hee hee! (還真是越叫越順口阿~) . Maybe we shall let this be his little nickname^^

AYE, please don't laugh, ok?

Can u see the rainbow above us? When i first saw it while in the car, i was like "WOW~~~".... this is by far the most beautiful rainbow i've ever seen, maybe becos' it appeared just above the mountains... it's so big that i can distinguish all 7 colors clearly! So excited, we decided to take a group photo :D
