Where has all the compassion gone to? - continued

Today i took a MRT ride to meet hubby and the MRT was fully packed with people as it was peak hour where people knocked off from their work. When i entered the train, someone actually gave up her seat to me! I'm so very grateful and thanked her for her kindness while i sat down. A little while later, 2 students sitting opposite me also gave up their seats to an auntie. If u've read about my previous post fretting about my bus ride experience in Singapore, yes, i've finally found the compassion here ~ in Taiwan....... Are Taiwanese more compassionate, sometimes i really think so.

My checkup at 27th week

I went for my check-up today. It's been 6 weeks since i had my last check-up, and guess what, i've gained 3 kilos over the last 6 weeks ...oh oh~~~~~~~~~ i think i must have eaten too much while i'm back in Singapore ^^ Anyway, as usual, doctor did an ultrascan of my little joe and discovered that his position is not right... oh no~~~ he said at this stage of pregnancy, the baby's position should be head down(to allow natural delivery), but my mine's still at the top. So from now on, i have to start doing a special form of exercise, to correct the baby's position... (see pic below - i have to DILIGENTLY do this twice a day, 2-5 mins each time) ...really not so easy to do with the big belly ><

Dear little joe, be a good boy, and move your head down soon, please.....

Where has all the compassion gone to?

Took a bus ride this morning which was fully packed with people... At my 6th mth of pregnancy, i must say that my belly is pretty obvious, BUT STILL, no one cared enough to give up their seats to me when i boarded the bus ......In fact, I was standing infront of a strong young male...he's neither sleeping, nor is he blind, but he just ignored me~~~~~ "i really admire his courage", what else can i say? Behind him was a young lady, but no action from her also...><

BIG SIGH........:((

Essence of CLAM (served in xxxxxx)

Yesterday was our friend's wedding day...it's a pity i wasn't able to attend it (in taiwan), cos' i'm stuck in s'pore waiting for my CNCC (if u do not know what's that, let me enlighten u...it's 'Certificate of No Criminal Conviction'). And why do i need that? To prove that i'm a GOOD citizen in s'pore, so they will grant me a resident visa in taiwan...

Anyway, this is not the main point. What i wanted to share is something every couple will worry about on their wedding day (apart from making sure the banquet is proceeding as planned ...etc) .... that's right, the part where the couple will be asked to 'perform' some embarassing 'acts' or play some 'funny' games (u know what) during the banquet to entertain the guests~~~ :-SS

Well, last nite, i asked my hubby "so how did their wedding go?", wanted to find out actually how the groom has been 'sabotaged'... this has always been the part not to be missed...and hmmm, seems like this time the gang has been rather creative to come up with this...listen, it's... Essence of Clam served in CONDOM... and the groom was forced to drink it!
ARRGGHH~~~~DISGUSTING!!!
(Think of Essence of Chicken, but instead of Chicken, it's Clam)

POOR thing.... i'm thinking luckily they didn't ask the bride to drink instead, it wouldn't look too nice, right? Oh, maybe clam essence is meant for males only... ?

Btw, i told hubby "u were lucky", at our wedding, the gang only asked him to drink a glass of mixture that's made up of all the juices, wine, sauces, spices and left over food they can find on the banquet table ...^^

Well, at least among our friends, the Essence of Clam (served in condom) will now become the 'official drink' at all wedding banquets for the next couples getting married..........................

Phew~ thank god ours was over!

Disclaimer: I meant to share this for fun, not to supply u with this idea to sabotage your friends:)

Retail therapy

Yesterday, sis woke up and asked me if i wanna go shopping with her... and i happily agreed, thinking i haven't gone shopping for a long time now and some shopping will definitely be therapeutic...................

Our first stop is as usual our fav Far east plaza. We decided to have our lunch first so we will be energized before we start our shopping spree. There, we went to the popular Hainanese Chicken rice rest. located at 5th floor, but blah.. we were disappointed cos' it doesn't taste the same as before anymore (ownership has changed; previous owner used to speak hainanese..i'm a hainanese too). Anyway, we quickly finished up and started shopping... end result: sis bought in total 3 pairs of shoes, 1 blouse and 1 pair of earrings...what about me? i've more self-control..only bought 1 pair of shoes and 1 pair of earrings (see pics below)
.
.
.

(my usual fav ~white...this pair costs $19.90, cheap right? )

(my first attempt at big earrings... and a gold one..hee!)

And then, we proceeded to Takashimaya, sis said she's got some vouchers, so we can do some shopping there..but i can hardly find anything to buy there, so i decided to grab some UNDIES...(no pics la). When u've got vouchers but nothing to buy, buy undergarments lor..it's a necessity, something u definitely will use. By the way, i realized there's a Baby Fair going on, it's about time for me to start doing some serious shopping for baby stuff, but what the heck, i was totally lost at what to buy~~~~~ mummies out there, please share with me what brand is good- milk bottles, prams, breast pump..etc, can? If u have a checklist, that will be great!

So, we left Takashimaya and walked down further to Centrepoint... I wanted to go Mothercare to take a look at their maternity jeans, but another disappointment...all so big and not-so-chic...left the shop and guessed what, walked past SOLELOVERS...hmmm, took one pair of loafers and tried it, OH~~~so COMFY!!! But the price is abit steep, $81.90...but they've got real nice colors..so tempted...sis said we'll go for dinner first, then can take some time to think about if we reeeeeeeeeally want to buy..so we head off to TCC. While eating, we kept asking each other "so how, u wanna buy or not?" but no conclusion. We paid for the bill, and stepped out of the restaurant, and somehow, very AUTOMATICALLY, we headed back to SOLELOVERS....oops^^ We tried on different colors, and kept telling ourselves that this will be a good investment (for our foot)...So, OKAY! i made up my mind then, BUY la! My excuse is: I'm now pregnant and a good pair of comfy shoes is very important:) Here's the color i chose finally:
.
.
.

(nice shade of blue, and this is made of LAMBSKIN! Sis chose the same color as me...)

But this is not the end yet... when we went to make payment, we were so surprised when the salesgirl asked for $65.20, and not $81.90...(20% discount!) i looked at sis, sis looked at me and we kept quiet, just paid for it. In our hearts, we were rejoicing!

When we stepped out of the shop, i asked sis..got discount ah? howcome never see the discount tag, and furthermore it's on the New Arrivals shelf... But heck anyway, it's a NICE SURPRISE! Sis said, aiya, if she knew got discount, then no need to hesitate for so long in the first place...haha!

It's indeed therapeutic~~~~~~~~So HAPPY and satisfied, we headed home:)
